The M/V Capt. Russell Simpson represents one of the dependable 140-foot Dravo Viking towboats that have served America's inland waterways for decades. Finished in the WRBM / Western Rivers Boat Management color scheme, this model captures the vessel during an earlier chapter of her career before later continuing service as the M/V W. Red Harris.
Built by Dravo Corporation, the Viking design earned a reputation for reliability, versatility, and efficiency. These boats have remained valuable throughout the inland towing industry thanks to their practical size, proven layout, and long service lives.
Each model is individually designed from reference material before being 3D printed, hand assembled, and carefully finished by me into a display-quality replica.
