M/V Jim Bernhardt / M/V Ray A. Eckstein – Wisconsin Barge Line
The M/V Jim Bernhardt and M/V Ray A. Eckstein represent two of the most recognizable towboats to serve Wisconsin Barge Line (WBL) during the company's long history on America's inland waterways. Built by Nashville Bridge Company, these classic towboats became familiar sights throughout the Mississippi River system and remain favorites among former crewmembers, river historians, and collectors today.
This model is available with your choice of M/V Jim Bernhardt or M/V Ray A. Eckstein nameboards and markings, celebrating two iconic vessels from the Wisconsin Barge Line fleet.
The Jim Bernhardt later continued her career as today's M/V American Heritage, while the Ray A. Eckstein went on to become the M/V Crimson Duke. Offering these boats in their original Wisconsin Barge Line appearance preserves an important chapter of inland river history that is rarely represented in model form.
Each model is individually designed from reference material before being 3D printed, hand assembled, and carefully finished by me into a display-quality replica. Whether displayed in a home, office, or wheelhouse, every model is built with the same attention to detail that has become the hallmark of Hold My Boat.

Don't See the Boat You're Looking For?
My website primarily features completed, in-stock inventory ready for immediate shipment. If you don't see the vessel, company, or paint scheme you're searching for, it doesn't necessarily mean I don't build it.
I produce models in small batches, and many vessels return as inventory is completed. If you're looking for a specific towboat, fleet, historical paint scheme, or quantity that isn't currently listed, please contact me. I'd be happy to discuss future production, business orders, or custom requests.
